New Ideas

Creating new bookmarks to sell on Folksy. Other dress ideas and fabrics to come and designs for boys.
New designs for brooches . Used fabric left over from clothes I made. The brooches measure
between 3" to 4" by 2" in size . With a bar pin at the back. A beaded collar at the neck. Does not take to sew . Takes longer to cut the shape out. My new produce to sell on Folksy.

Finally I have some time to write and keep you up to date . Well I finished the quilt for my friend's 50th birthday . Gave it to her last week and she loved it . Saying it was too nice to use and wants to hang it up on the wall in here bedroom. I enjoyed making it . Having a rest from quilts , busy sewing clothes for Yulia textile artist and another friend. Here are photos of the quilt.

I used the other half of the jelly roll from the quilt I made before . The pattern came from the same book.
I also chained stitched a saying on the edges. A friendship is like a warm quilt . Wrapped around the heart.

Finished Quilt

Hello on this cold day again.
I have finaly finished the quilt for my Great Uncle and Aunt. From the book Two From One Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott. The Snapdragon Quilt.

I chose this design first as it did not have many triangles in it. In the spaces Ihand  embroided their names , children and grandchildren. Put where they lived, hobbies , pets, collectables and the flags of the country the come from. I hand quilted the whole quilt .

With the other half of the jelly roll I going make another quilt for good friend's 50th Birthday for June. I have to start now to finish in time.
